How do I back up my data?
Settings → Data → Back Up Data creates a single file containing every student, log, photo, and achievement. Save it to Files, iCloud Drive, or AirDrop it to another device. The app will also gently remind you on the dashboard when a good stretch of school days has piled up since your last backup.
How do I move to a new iPhone or iPad?
Back up on the old device (Settings → Data → Back Up Data), get the file to the new device (AirDrop or Files), then on the new device: Settings → Data → Restore from Backup. Everything comes across: students, logs, photos, garden progress, and achievements.
How do I exit Student Mode?
Student Mode is a parental control, so it can’t be swiped away. Tap the lock icon in the top-right corner, then confirm. You can turn Student Mode on or off in Settings → Experience.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are handled by the App Store. Open the system Settings app → your name → Subscriptions → Homeschool Wizard, or use Manage Subscription inside the app. Cancelling keeps Plus active until the end of the paid period.
I bought Plus but it isn’t showing. What do I do?
Open the upgrade screen and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you’re signed into the same Apple Account that made the purchase. If it still doesn’t appear, email us and we’ll sort it out.
Why didn’t I get a deadline reminder?
Check that Deadline Reminders is on (State tab → Compliance Calendar, or Settings → Experience) and that notifications are allowed for Homeschool Wizard in the system Settings app. Reminders fire 14 days before, 1 day before, and at 9 AM the morning something is due.
The app crashed. How do I report it?
If a crash has occurred, a Crash Reports row appears in Settings → Data. Tap it to share the diagnostic file with us by email; reports stay on your device unless you send them.
Is my data private?
Yes. Records live on your device: no account, no cloud database, no ads, no tracking. Backups are files you keep. Photos you choose to analyze with the AI photo log are processed securely and never stored on our servers or used to train AI.
